Bringing Logistics & Transport to Life – CILT Schools resources
Movement of people and goods is fundamental to economic and social activities. Effective transport and logistics is essential to support economic development and engagement in the global economy.

Our Vehicles, Our Safety, Our Responsibility: Improving Road Safety for Vulnerable Road Users
The Transport & Logistics Forum launched their short film on 31st March 2015. The video seeks to demonstrate the need for transport and logistics companies to work in partnership to improve road safety and CILT is encouraging businesses and organisations to use the film to increase awareness and knowledge of the severe and serious implications of neglecting safety as a primary concern, not just at operational level but at board level. The first screening of the film was shown at CILT Transport & Logistics Safety Forum Conference at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedford.
Wincanton EVADE Cycle Safety Video
Wincanton believe that as a responsible business that has a lot of vehicles on the roads that Vulnerable road users should be equipped with good roadcraft skills to help to keep them safe on the roads. Through our programme “Blind Spot Safety” which is fronted and narrated by World Champion women’s professional cyclist, Dani King, which carries the positive messages through the acronym “EVADE” and has the strapline “Alert today … Alive tomorrow”, we feel that cyclist in particular can obtain skills and advice to keep them safe.
Wincanton EVADE Driver Training Video
Wincanton believe that as a responsible business that has a lot of vehicles on the roads that our drivers should be equipped with good roadcraft skills to help to keep them safe on the roads. This video aims to enhance their skill through the acronym “EVADE” which forms the message for the Blind Spot Safety campaign. The emphasis is on the drivers ability to set up their vehicle and give advice and guidance for driving on the roads where we could encounter vulnerable road users.
